The Bach 180 series trumpets are the number one selling professional trumpets in the world. The 180S37 features a #37 one-piece hand-hammered professional bell that produces a warm sound with great projection allowing this instrument to work well in multiple musical settings—from jazz to concert or solo playing. Note: Vincent Bach used the trade names of Stradivarius, Mercedes, Mercury, Minerva, and Apollo. For some reason, Vincent jumped around a little on serial numbers. For example, in 1928 the Apollo serial numbers were 8600 - 8700. In 1939 the Mercury models had serial numbers in the 10,000s. The first Minerva (#2722) was built in 1958.

This is one of two trumpets and one cornet K & D Estate Sales LLC is selling as a part of recent estate sale in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This Bach trumpet was purchased new in 1978 by a local physician and amateur musician who played in the Hattiesburg City Band. It is silver plated and is in like new condition. There are absolutely no dents or dings or warn spots on the silver. The plating on the valves is excellent. Here at Oberloh Woodwind and Brass Works we take great pride in our work. All of us can honestly say we believe NO ONE ELSE in the Pacific Northwest does better trumpet restorations then we do ! The Bach Stradivarius trumpets we restore will play, in most cases, better then brand new models! We install brand new mouthpipes, and cut them to theexact Bach Stradivarius standards. We make completely new slide tubes if the originals are sub-par. We also make new valve caps, stems, buttons, and finger hooks, again to exacting standards. All of this work is done by hand at our facilities. These instruments will not only look excellent, but will play wonderfully for years to come!

Serial Number 338XXX, Built at the Fullerton Calf shop in late 1958. lacquered finish. A very popular product from the Olds Band Instrument Co. This one has an original trigger mechanism that engages the master tuning slide as oppose to the 3rd slide that is more common. The mouthpipe has a little damage that will be corrected prior to sale. Valves have good plating and very good compression. Case not included.
